About HarSafe

Review common credentials in one selected HAR file locally, choose findings to redact, and export a new copy.

Please include your macOS version, HarSafe version, and the steps that led to the issue. HAR files can contain credentials and personal form data. Please do not attach an original HAR or unmasked secret to a support email. A support email contains the address and information you choose to send.

Common questions

Why will this HAR not open?

The file must be valid JSON with a HAR log.entries list. The original file is not changed when a file cannot be read.

What does an unsupported-body warning mean?

That entry contains a body format HarSafe cannot inspect. Review it manually before sharing the exported file.

Does “No common secrets found” mean the HAR has no sensitive data?

No. HarSafe checks only documented common fields and supported formats. A result with no matches does not confirm that the HAR contains no sensitive information.

Why could the redacted copy not be saved?

Choose a writable destination in the Save panel and try again. The original remains unchanged if saving fails.

Why does the file need to be opened again?

The source may have changed or become unavailable. Close the session and choose the current file again before reviewing it.

Purchases and restore

Connect your Mac to the internet, sign in to the Apple Account used for the purchase, then choose Restore Purchases in HarSafe. Apple StoreKit checks the transaction and refreshes the entitlement. If it still does not appear, reopen the app and try Restore Purchases again. Apple handles billing and refund requests.

System requirements

Requires macOS 14 or later. An internet connection is needed for Apple StoreKit purchase and restoration services.
