BatchName Studio Privacy Policy

Overview

BatchName Studio previews composable rename rules for files in one folder you choose. It changes only the files you check after you review the proposed names and confirm the batch.

Files and on-device processing

BatchName Studio reads file names in the selected folder. Its before-and-after preview and validation run locally on this Mac. It does not open or change file contents, enter child folders, or run background jobs.

Renames happen in that selected folder after confirmation. The app does not send file names to KernelBeam or another service. If the folder is backed by iCloud or another cloud file provider, that provider may sync the name changes according to your settings.

Information collected by KernelBeam

BatchName Studio does not collect, upload, or track file names or rename history. It has no KernelBeam account, advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking.

The local batch allowance and purchase entitlement state are kept in the app container on this Mac and are not sent to KernelBeam.

Purchases and Apple services

One-time in-app purchases, product information, transaction verification, entitlement checks, and Restore Purchases are handled through Apple StoreKit. The app receives the product and verified entitlement information needed to provide the purchased features. KernelBeam does not receive payment-card details. Apple may process transaction, device, diagnostic, and App Store information under Apple’s privacy terms and your Apple Account settings.

Network access

File processing does not require a KernelBeam service. This app does not connect to a KernelBeam or analytics service and does not send files, entries, or file names over the internet. Its network activity is limited to Apple App Store services through StoreKit for purchase information, transactions, entitlement checks, and restoration. Purchases and restoration require an internet connection; local work remains available when Apple services are unavailable.

Retention, exports and deletion

Access to the chosen folder is released after the batch. Undo for the most recent successful batch is available during the current app launch.

If the selected folder is provided by a cloud service or shared volume, that provider may process the resulting file-name changes under its own terms.
