Hushdawn Privacy Policy

Overview

Hushdawn is an iPhone video camera app. It does not require an account or sign-in. Video and preview processing takes place on your device, and Hushdawn does not upload your footage to KernelBeam.

Collection and tracking

Hushdawn does not use third-party analytics or subscription SDKs, and does not collect data to track you. KernelBeam does not sell personal information. Your captured video, audio, and preview images are not sent to KernelBeam.

Permissions

Camera and microphone access are used to record video and sound. When you choose to save an exported video to Photos, Hushdawn requests permission to add it to your library. Hushdawn does not need permission to browse your existing photos or videos.

If you choose to share an exported video through the iOS share interface, the destination you select handles that copy under its own privacy terms.

On-device data

Original footage and previews are processed on your device. Original footage stays inside Hushdawn unless you choose an export that your access allows. A video you save to Photos or share is handled by the destination you choose.

Trial counter

Hushdawn stores the trial-use counter in the Keychain on this device only. It is not synced to other devices. iOS keeps this Keychain item when you delete the app, so reinstalling Hushdawn does not reset the counter.

Purchases and Apple

Apple handles in-app purchases through the App Store and StoreKit. Hushdawn checks purchase access on your device. Apple processes payment and account details under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.

Children

Hushdawn has no account system, and video and previews are processed on the device. For questions about a child's use of Hushdawn, contact support@kernelbeam.com.

Data deletion

Deleting Hushdawn removes the app's local videos and other app data from your device. The trial counter in the Keychain remains as described above. Delete exported copies separately in Photos or in the destination where you shared them.
