PoseFilm Privacy Policy

Overview

PoseFilm is a pose-guided camera and photo-editing app by KernelBeam. It does not require a KernelBeam account and does not upload your photos to KernelBeam.

Camera and photo library

PoseFilm uses Camera access only to take photos. It uses write-only Photos access only to save the photo you choose. The current app does not browse or import existing items from your photo library. You can manage these permissions in iOS Settings.

Photos and app data on your device

Captured photos, previews, rendered edits, and photo records are stored in PoseFilm’s app storage on your device. Photo records include information such as capture time, pose selection, crop ratio, edits, favorites, and save status. Camera settings and pose preferences are stored locally. PoseFilm does not send this photo content or app data to KernelBeam.

Sharing and exports

If you choose Save, PoseFilm writes the selected image to your iOS photo library. Your iCloud Photos settings may sync that library with Apple. If you choose Share, PoseFilm passes the selected image to the iOS share interface and the destination you choose. That destination may be operated by Apple or another provider and is governed by its own privacy terms. PoseFilm does not share or upload photos automatically.

Apple device backups may include app data according to the backup settings you choose.

Purchases and Apple services

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit 2.

Optional anonymous product events

To understand how the paywall performs, PoseFilm sends a few anonymous events to events.kernelbeam.com when you view the paywall, choose a plan, start a purchase, finish a purchase, or restore purchases. This is on by default; you can turn it off anytime under Me → Anonymous analytics, which also clears any events not yet sent.

Each event contains only: the event name and time; the plan and result where relevant; the app version; the device type (iPhone or iPad); your App Store country; and a random identifier created when you first open the app, stored only on your device and removed when you delete the app.

Events never include your name, email, Apple Account, advertising identifier, transaction ID, photos, poses, or location. They are not linked to your identity, not used for tracking, and kept for up to 13 months. We use no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

Retention and contact

Your app photos and related records remain on your device until you delete them in PoseFilm, remove the app, or manage them through iOS. A copy saved to Photos remains there until you remove it from your photo library.
