MoveWard Privacy Policy

Overview

MoveWard is an offline-first workout log for iPhone by KernelBeam. The current version is designed to record workouts without a KernelBeam account or developer-operated workout-data server.

Workout data stored on your device

MoveWard stores workout sessions, completed sets, set drafts, exercise and routine details, rest-timer state, app preferences, and derived progress information locally on your device.

KernelBeam does not receive this local workout data during ordinary use of the app.

Backups and files you choose

When you export a backup, MoveWard creates a JSON copy and presents the iOS share sheet so you can choose where to save or send it. The destination you select may be operated by Apple or another provider and is governed by that provider's privacy policy.

When you restore a backup, MoveWard reads the file you explicitly select and replaces compatible local app data only after confirmation. KernelBeam does not receive the selected backup file.

Accounts, analytics, and advertising

MoveWard does not require a KernelBeam account for workout logging. The current version does not include third-party advertising, behavior-tracking, or analytics SDKs.

Subscriptions and Apple services

MoveWard Pro subscriptions, introductory-trial eligibility, payment processing, restoration, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. MoveWard receives product and verified entitlement information needed to display offers and determine access. KernelBeam does not receive or store your payment card details.

Apple may process purchase, device, diagnostic, and App Store information under Apple's own privacy terms and your Apple Account settings.

Network access

The local workout workflow does not require a KernelBeam server. Network access is used when your device communicates with the App Store for subscription information or when you open external support, privacy, terms, or system subscription-management links.

Health and sensitive information

MoveWard is a general workout log and is not a medical service. The current version does not request HealthKit access and does not send workout records to KernelBeam. You decide what training information to enter and what backup destinations to use.

Data retention and deletion

Local workout data remains on your device until you delete it, replace it by restoring a backup, or remove the app and its local data through iOS. Files you exported remain wherever you chose to save or send them.

Children

MoveWard is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the app to provide KernelBeam with personal information about a child.

Changes

If MoveWard's data practices change, this policy will be updated before the new practice is represented as part of the released app.
